Healthcare providers aply and acquire their unique 10-digit National Provider Identifier (NPI) to identify themselves in a standard way throughout their industry. Individuals or organizations in Healthcare industry apply for NPIs through the CMS National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES).

Who is NPIData.org?

We are trying to enhance the way to find NPI of a provider with technology. The NPI search feature works well across many devices/browsers including mobile devices. The mobile-friendly NPI Number Lookup feature is augmented by a data table with features to export the search results of NPI Lookup into a CSV file.

What is the source of the data? How is the data updated?

We source data shown here from publicly available data at NPPES NPI Registry (https://npiregistry.cms.hhs.gov/). Data is updated weekly.
