This is a mirror of the federal registry, refreshed weekly. It is convenient and fast, and it is not a substitute for primary source verification — use it to find and cross-check, then verify through the channels your accreditation requires.
Exclusion screening
Where the OIG exclusion list is loaded, any record carrying a provider's NPI is shown on their page with the date and statutory authority. Only about one in nine exclusion records carries an NPI, so this narrows work rather than completing it.
Taxonomy and licence history
Every taxonomy a provider has filed, each with its licence number and state, which often reveals more than the single primary specialty most directories show.
What this data will not tell you
Exclusion records here are matched on NPI alone. OIG requires identity confirmation by Social Security or Employer Identification Number, which are not in the public file. Always confirm a match at exclusions.oig.hhs.gov before acting on it.
